Suite au décès de Pierre Roussel, Marcel Hipszman nous rappelle le rôle considérable qu’a joué cet homme aux multiples responsabilités (enseignant, militant syndical, responsable mutualiste, dirigeant associatif, maire du Murol) au service de l’économie sociale. A travers son action de premier délégué à l’Economie sociale, nous voyons se mettre en place à partir de 1981 un cadre politique, institutionnel, juridique…, dont l’essentiel perdure aujourd’hui, qui va asseoir la reconnaissance de l’économie sociale et soutenir son développement.

The laying of the foundations for a social economy policy

Following the death of Pierre Roussel, Marcel Hipszman recalls the major role this man played in various arenas serving the social economy (teacher, union activist, mutual official, association leader, mayor of Murol). In this account of his work as the first junior minister of the social economy, we see the gradual creation of a political, institutional and legal framework beginning in 1981, the bulk of which endures today and which would legitimize the social economy and foster its growth.
