The Public and Non-Profit Management SIG aims at providing an authoritative and internationally focused forum to discuss major developments in the area of governance and management of public interest. Such focus allows embracing all organizations that operate for the benefit of the community, be they public or private. Key issues include network management, performance management, organization and HRM, social innovation, social responsibility, accounting and accountability, marketing and fundraising, leadership.

Organizing alternatives to capitalism - Special Issue of M@n@gement - Call for Papers - 30-10-2015

Alternative organizational models have spread over the world in recent years. Some of these organizational models carry new labels, such as social entrepreneurship (Dacin, Dacin and Tracey, 2010), inclusive innovation (George, McGahan and Prabhu, 2012), inclusive business (Halme, Lindeman, and Linna 2012), pirate organizations (Durand & Vergne, 2012), social business (Yunus, Moingean and Lehmann, 2010) and hybrid organizations (Battilana and Dorado, 2010). Others, such as cooperatives (Charterina J., Albizu, and Landeta, 2007), carry a strong heritage of more than a century of experience. In common, they seek to balance social mission with economic performance and strive to find new ways of organizing and influencing social and economic development.

Suite à la première édition de la journée de recherche GESS (Gestion des Entreprises Sociales et Solidaires) organisée en décembre 2013 par l’Université Paris-Est - IRG, nous aurons le plaisir de vous recevoir à Clermont-Ferrand les 15 et 16 décembre 2014. Les journées de recherche GESS ont pour vocation d’accueillir, dans un esprit pluridisciplinaire, des travaux de recherche centrés sur les entreprises opérant dans le champ de l’économie sociale et solidaire (coopératives mutuelles, SCIC, SCOP, associations, fondations, CAE…). L'appel à communications est ouvert jusqu'au 30 juin.
